We're a campervan conversion business based in Bristol always on the lookout for a new adventure.

Where are you headed?

That's the real question. The next question is: how are you going to get there? Maybe you're going to walk there, maybe you're going to take the bus? Or maybe you're getting there in a Handkrafted Camper, bespoke built for your needs and desires - but you already know that, because that's why you're here right?

We started our journey when we converted a Mercedes bus to live and travel around Portugal. Living in Joy the bus taught us so much about what makes van life wonderful, the little touches, comforts and details that turn a van into a home.

Shelly grew up in her dad's cabinet-making workshop and this is where her passion for carpentry began. She's got a keen eye for creating beautiful spaces and is happiest when she is in the workshop tinkering with tools and Handkrafting campervan conversions.

Joy the Bus

This is where it all began, converting our own campervan - a true a labour of love. We left behind our comfortable jobs to embark on an adventure and built our dream bus. Joy was our home for 3 years and what a cosy home she was. We learnt what van life meant and how to explore in style and comfort.

"All they needed was a wheel in their hand and four on the road ."
